Born to a teenage mother in Northern California, Jessica overcame early hardship and became the first in her family to finish high school and attend Juilliard (class of 2003). She founded Freckle Films (2016) to champion women led stories and underrepresented voices. Known for her activism, she co founded Time’s Up and invests in women’s causes including Angel City FC and Beyond Meat.
