The definition of “Epic” is an umbrella term for a unique kind of games offering medieval weapons, magic, and other fantasy elements. Once you think better, epic games are very popular and are one of the most played games at the moment. Now, you may be asking yourself exist really that many epic games in the marketplace and my answer could be positive. Just forget about shooter games for an instant, and let’s grab a sword and a shield for a while. My comprehensive set of best epic games for PC is below. Prepare for an overdose of epicenes!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
I can’t use any words to explain how great the game is. Some believe that the game is just a bit overrated, but when you indulge yourself inside, you’ll overlook the real world. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is just a sequel to The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings that has been a decent game and it was just a matter of time when this game will rule the world. Here you’re, an amazing RPG game having an epic setting, amazing graphics, and unforgettable characters.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
TESV: Skyrim is frequently told to be one of the greatest game ever. I can’t blame those that say it as I haven’t seen a bigger open-world game than Skyrim. The overall game offers you a sense of scale the minute you begin to play it. You create your own character and as soon as you do so, the dragon appears and starts blowing fire all over the place, simply to offer you a glimpse of how epic this game is. After that, you’re on the road to explore the planet, fight dangerous enemies and survive being an ultimate warrior.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is a superb game, albeit disappointing as a result of microtransactions. Its great swordplay, smooth gameplay, and solid optimization is something I must praise, but there’s lots of grinding. However, this isn’t necessarily a negative thing, as slashing Uruks’heads is extremely fun and there’s a revolutionary nemesis system gives a sense of realism. Once you get killed by way of a certain captain or a warlord, they gain a greater level, rendering it harder to be killed. Shadow of War is just a challenging, yet rewarding experience.
World of Warcraft
Speaking of challenge, are you ready for World of Warcraft? This game has been with us for quite a while and it is a challenging online game for PC. As Blizzard stands behind this effort, World of Warcart brings an immersive world, full of stuff to see and explore. Indeed, the game might lack graphical fidelity of modern titles, but there’s that old-school vibe in the game, and that means LOTS of fun! For fans of Warcraft universe, this game will offer a lot more than they think. The only downside could be a monthly subscription which is… well, quite expensive.
Far Cry Primal
While Far Cry Primal doesn’t share the same dose of epicenes as the aforementioned games, it still has a decent dose in it. The overall game is set some time ago, 10 000 BC when everyone was still surviving in tribes. To be honest, Far Cry Primal delivers an extremely authentic and one-of-a-kind experience. The overall game is focused on melee combat, although there are various throwable weapons at your disposal along with bow and arrow. It’s great to have a rest from guns, bazookas, and bombs and try Far Cry Primal.
Another Blizzard’s creation on our list is Diablo 3. Coming from a fan of Diablo 2, I must admit that the game is extremely fun, even better compared to previous one! Think what you need, but Diablo 3 is just a worthy addition and a sequel to the prior game. It accumulates where Diablo 2 stopped, introducing a brand-new story, setting, and beautiful graphics.
Banished is an amazing strategy game, with so much depth when it comes to gameplay. It’s focused on few travelers who are attempting to begin a new life in a land that’s still not that developed. Which means you will need to build your own land, manage its resources and think about your every move in order to survive. Banished is just a thinking man’s game that will offer you so much in exchange for the effort, as long as you give it some time.
