Top 10 Games Like Don’t Starve

Look I’m a massive fan of don’t starve and was hooked because of it for 20 + hours, but once you’ve learned the fundamentals and are surviving it got a little same old, this is exactly why I’ve created this listing of games that helped me move ahead from Don’t Starve. Some are better, some are on the same level, but each one is similar and prepared to amaze you. And I’ve been sure to incorporate something for everybody, as I understand the pain of finishing a game title and being unsure of what to play.

  1. The Forest

It starts with an insane plane crash and with some weird cannibal tribe stealing your kid. Now your job is to get your kid, but and there is a bit, each and every day the tribes men and women are watching you, wanting to kill and eat you. So you need to build a foundation, with plenty of traps and places to cover and even weapons in order to protect yourself.

  1. Minecraft Hardcore

Some people are very bored of Minecraft and that’s understandable as it was the only thing many of us played for days gone by year. But, grab the controller, go on hardcore mode with one life and see so how far you can survive. This really is among the funniest approaches to play Minecraft and it really does inject lots of the fun back into the game.

  1. Terraria

I’m not a massive fan of Terraria, but the overall game is much like Don’t starve, a little weirder and with a far more crazy graphics style. You have crazy monsters, crafting, building bases and a great deal of exploring. It’s really well made, but I believe it has a specific audience and that’s more of the RPG/Minecraft kind. So if that sounds as if you grab a copy.

  1. StarBound

Star bound is comparable to Terraria but better. It’s far more stuff going on and there’s more to build too, like planning to the stars. Now the survival aspects of all games on this list are virtually identical, you build bases, hide, craft amazing gear and attack crazy creatures. But why is this cool is the customization, it’s that same survival feel but there’s just far more going on.

  1. The Long Dark

Don’t starve would have been when it was person and built around an account mode. Seriously just the feel is incredibly similar and while playing it I kept getting that same feel. You’ve got to go and explore this crazy map, with crazy animals prepared to tear you up. It’s similar to don’t starve as really you’re only enemy is Mother Nature and they have the same collection and survival feeling as each other.

  1. Sir, You’re being Hunted

I’m been awaiting a game title like this for quite a while now and it’s here. Sir you’re being hunted is pretty quiet similar whilst the name entails. You’re a being hunted by these weird people robots who want you dead and your job is to not get killed and kill them. You have to flee that’s really your only job. Now this game isn’t so similar to Don’t Starve, but it’s the same survival elements, so I’d to incorporate it.

  1. Banished

If you like strategy games and enjoyed Don’t Starve then Banished is the next thing for you. Why? Banished has the same feeling and features as Don’t starve just in strategy format. You’ve got a few people and your job would be to survive the crazy elements, build bases that sustain life, have more people and find resources.

  1. Far Sky

This is a survival game that involves, base building, hunting, collecting, and getting resources. Your submarine gets totaled and you’re stranded underwater. You’ve then got to build a foundation, hunt underwater animals, eat and collect your submarine parts so you will get back again to surface.

  1. Rim World

RimWorld has been raved about constantly in the last several months with everybody saying its epic. And that’s because it is. Now again this game has all the normal survival things and is much like a mixture of Banished, Don’t Starve and Prison Architect. You have to build a foundation, defend from enemies and get/create resources to help keep living strong. I couldn’t even start suggesting all that’s in this game, from training to taming pets, building an army and so much more.

  1. Rust

The sole aim in this game would be to survive and to get this done you will need to hunt, kill, build your fortress, create alliances with other players, build towns and get weapons that allows you to dominate. A number of people this is actually the funniest game and it’s between forest, this and Rim World (that games so damn addictive). But once you get into Rust I promise you it’s hard to ever forget it, particularly if you have a buddy who has it too.
